About the Interdisciplinary Journal of Signage and Wayfinding
Signage and wayfinding are essential components for public visual communication and navigation of human landscapes. Yet, despite their importance, there had been no academic journal exclusively dedicated to these topics. As such, scholars from a variety of academic disciplines including marketing, law, urban planning, engineering, art, economics, architecture, landscape architecture, industrial design, and graphic design publish work in journals within their home disciplines and rarely have a chance to communicate their cross-disciplinary findings. Sponsored by the Academic Advisory Council for Signage Research and Education (AACSRE), the Interdisciplinary Journal of Signage and Wayfinding seeks to bring these researchers together by making such scholarship accessible to academics and practitioners alike.
The IJSW publishes twice annually. The Journal’s following issues (Volume 8, Number 1 and 2) are projected for August 2024 and December 2024.
